Louis Vuitton: My first romance

It was 1998 and I saw this smallest Louis Vuitton mini Speedy Monogram from a Korean. I fell in love for the first time. Well thinking I will not have a wallet anymore but this tiny look a like handbag, brown in color with the more or less 4inches x 3 inches in size, leather and yes affordable for $150.00 back then and just right for the budget. I went to Paramus mall in their New Jersey outlet and whooah! many choices and now curious or more like confused. Went home with the sling bag instead for $350.00.

That was the start of my romance with Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton Malletier – commonly referred to as Louis Vuitton or shortened to
LV – is a French fashion house founded in 1854 by Louis Vuitton. They said, we are paying for quality here and they are right. Since then my love and admiration for their craftsmanship, value and guarantee never fails to amaze me. Their party last time and attended by Borgy Manotoc, Tim Yap and Leisa Carpio among the others was superb which reminds me of my white Murakami Pochette which I bought that time with Odessa, my younger sister.

In the Philippines, been to their first outlet store in Ayala 6790 in Makati. Back then, their Monogram Pochette is only worth Ph 16,000.00, I gave it to my younger sister Meg, my first purchased in the Philippines, well, more like the cheapest handbag they have that I could afford that time and it was 1999. Since then, I am using my LV everyday, wherever I go whether at School using a “Neverfull” ala Angelina Jolie or a Papillon ala Sarah Jessica Parker. I am using them as an accessory already, not just a bag where I could put on my Chanel Lipstick and business calling cards.

Right now, from Ayala 6790, the outlet transferred to Greenbelt. Bigger place and home of the designer bags all around in one area from Burberry, Gucci to Prada.
This is me at the opening of Biomodd at the Museum of Contemporary Arts and Designs. Also here are some of my favorite celebrities endorsers that I love and err, my own self- pictures attending different events with “the bags”. Enjoy!
