Around Philippines especially at the city, skyscrapers amazed me with their multiple floors towering the skyline. I am also attracted with these gated, private and big posh residential homes that made me think about the value, owner and designer. The sprawling community subdivisions also at the South  like Nuvali at Santa Rosa City, Laguna under Ayala Land or Portofino at Daang Hari, Alabang under Vista Land are the manifestation of visions and imaginations. The imagination of these designers and developers are implemented here with perfect planning,  grace and beauty.

For two decades I've been in a construction industry, it's all about beauty, details and imagination. One, whether a professional engineer, architect or a common carpenter cannot build even a simple design without imagination. My dad, Mr. Josefino Bondad taught me and my two sisters to always do our best and be different, most of all, to be honest and to have integrity for every opportunity life will bring. He managed for 23 years his construction firm with determination and vision. According to him, if others can do it, we can do even more, even we are all girls in the family. In my
Asian Tropical Designs, I am making sure that everything is coordinated from the color palette of tiles, roof covers whether made of galvanized iron sheet, asphalt shingles or concrete tile.

I've been with so many technical employees; Architects, different kinds of engineers or any manpower involved in building infrastructures or designs. One thing is common; to build a concrete art for everyone to use, enjoy and that could instantly and eventually become a memorial of the designer. In order for us to get new designs and idea, we have magazines aside from the memories we had from traveling around the world and technical lessons and knowledge we gained from school.

Pogi Points by Stanley Chi

Around Philippines especially at Manila, I tried to reach all destination in my itenerary. I never came all the way from Laguna which is 2 to 3 hours drive just to spent it for nothing spectacular. One thing that makes me go back to the city is meeting new friends through Social Media, they opened my eyes to the new wonders of this technology we are enjoying right now and another way to meet them is through special events. Special? Yes! Special, there are so many invitations I receieved but I only chose those events who could not only give me additional knowledge but could also help the community. In one event, I got invited to attend the introduction of Book ambassadors from Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) that are compose of four writers and online celebrities like Carlos Celdran, Tado Jimenez, Ramon Bautista and Stanley Chi.

The Bookworms: Ramon Bautista, Stanley Chi,
Carlos Celdran and Tado Jimenez

I first came to hear Stanley Chi's name when I sent my ILaBS team to graced as guests at one TV Show where Stanley was also one of the Guest too. Then multiple meetings like the Bookworms event and Sofitel Oktoberfest event where Stanley and his girlfriend Dr. Stefanie De La Cruz were guest too. I even received Stanley's book from the MIBF event.

Stanley Chi will surely captivate your heart with
his new book

A graduate of Fine Arts, a Manila Bulletin cartoonist and a stand up commediane, Stanley Chi proved that he is not "Suplado." Chi introduced his two books, the " Suplado Tips 1 and 2" which is a best selling book and you can have those at the leading bookstores in the country. When in Manila, book lovers are like children in a playground whenever there's book fairs. Imagine the so many possibilities reading could bring. Imagine the knowledge, the inspiration and a whole new world. In 2010,Google estimated that since the invention of printing, approximately 130,000,000 unique titles had been published.

Official Poster

On December 1, 2012 at National Bookstore Shangrila Mall at 2 in the afternoon. Just when you think you’ve read it all, a book like Pogi Points comes your way to burst your bubble. Join us and meet Stanley Chi for a book launch of no other.

Soldiers of love, beware. Stanley Chi, the genius behind the bestselling Suplado Tips series (read: over PhP2M worth of books sold in just one year) goes out of his comfort zone to write a “not-so-gentleman’s guide to looking good”, as the cover of his newest book, Pogi Points, announces brazenly.

The book cover

Chi is out to prove he’s not a one-hit wonder after his first humor book, Suplado Tips, underwent reprinting five times in a year. The follow-up Suplado Tips 2 fared just as well, if not better, establishing Chi’s reputation as a legit writer who can sell books to people who don’t normally love reading.
Pogi Points is a collection of tips on how to get ahead in love through strategic behavior. It teaches the naïve boy how to act around his object of admiration (or obsession, whichever applies).

“Ang pagiging gwapo, inborn; ang pagiging pogi,
napag-aaralan (Being handsome is inborn; being pogi is something you can learn),”
Chi explains. Using humor to make his point.

One Pogi Points pointer says, “Kung dinaan mo sa personality ang isang babae, para mo naring sinabi na pangit ka (If you use your personality to win over a girl, it’s like saying you’re too ugly [to do it any other way])!” Aside from tips on how to score more pogi points, the book contains photo comic strips, serious relationship facts, fun pogi trivia, and self-help lists. It’s a workbook of sorts for the love-struck guy who wants to have fun while decoding the woman he fancies.

Readers get a good dose of laughter from Pogi Points
– and who knows? Maybe the single guys might even get a girlfriend.

When In Manila, join me in my adventures. I might be alone or with friends but one thing is sure, I'll be meeting those wonderful and empowered people in my journey for getting knowledge and to help those people I could reach. Now, get Stanley Chi's new book, nobody right now must be "pangit," as they say, "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" but we must know that a little advice from the expert could help too, get Stanley advice to have pogi points.
